graph shows the number of people who died in car accidents
in Australia in 2003.
graph provides information about the number of males
and females who died as a result of car accidents in
death rate for males is higher than for females in all
age groups. In total more than twice as many males died
in car accidents as females.
300 17-25 year old males died. This is probably because
they are young and are less experienced.
300 17-25 year old males died, but less than 100 females
in the same age group died. This is probably because
young men drive more often and there are more young
males than females with licences.
can see that 60-69 year old men and women are the best
drivers because the death rate is much lower.
safest male drivers are in the 0-16 year old and the
60-69 year old age groups. Not many 0-16 year old drive
though. I think that in some states they can start driving
when they are 16.
highest number of deaths for males was in the 17-59
year old age group. Before this age and after this age
the death rate is significantly less. This compares
to the death rate for females which is fairly consistent
across the age groups but significantly less in the
60-69 year old age group.
The graph provides details of the number of people who died in car accidents in Australia in 2003.
The number of male deaths in each age bracket is higher than the number of female deaths. Deaths for both genders was lowest in the 60 to 69 year age group with around 60 male deaths and 30 female deaths. The numbers rose again in the 70 plus age group with over 100 male deaths and almost as many female deaths.
Female deaths were lowest in the 60 to 69 year age group at around 40 and highest at around 100 in both the 40 to 59 and the 70 plus group. For males they peaked in the 17 to 25 age group at over around 325 and were lowest in the 0 - 16 and 60 to 69 groups at around 75 in each.
