IMPERATIVES

Imperatives are usually requests, instructions or orders. They are verbs and they usually come at the beginning of a sentence.

1. Close the door please. (request)
2.
Send an email. (instruction/order)
3.
Come here! (instruction/order)
4.
Follow me! (instruction/order)
5.
Relax! (instruction/order)
6.
Somebody answer the phone please. (request)

Negative imperatives usually begin with DON'T.
Don't worry.

Don't smoke
Don't be late.
