PASSIVE SENTENCES WITH MODAL VERBS

MODALS - can, could, should, would, might ... and so on

In the live class we saw that with modal verbs in a passive sentence we use be.
We also use be in passive sentences with going to, have to and want to.


We looked at these examples.
1. Sam can fix the car.
           The car can be fixed (by Sam).

2. Jacques’ mum might send him to Canada.
           Jacques might be sent to Canada (by his mum).

3. Someone should have cleaned the fridge. The fridge
           The fridge should have been cleaned (by someone).

4. David is going to hold the party at his mother’s house.
           The party is going to be held at David’s mother’s house.
