ELEMENTARY - UNIT 1B - GRAMMAR 1 (page 1)

WILL & GOING TO

I am going to finish university this year.
I will probably get a job when I finish. I'm not sure. Maybe I will travel through Asia.

Will and going to are both used to talk about the future. They are very similar in meaning.
Usually we use going to when we have a plan.
Usually we use will when we decide at the time we are speaking.

Look at these examples:
1. I'll go shopping later. (I just decided)
2. I'm going to go shopping later. ( I have a plan)
