Booking a Hotel 2

Look at the sentence below.
I was wondering if you have any rooms for tonight and tomorrow night.

We could also ask:
Have you got any rooms for tonight and tomorrow night?

Both have the same meaning. 'Have you got ...' is polite. 'I was wondering if ...' is also polite. We often use 'I was wondering if ...' to introduce a subject when we begin speaking to someone.

Librarian: Hello, Bankstown Library.
Customer: Hi, I was wondering if you have any books on Microsoft Windows.
