Pearl
Harbour
The lives
of a nurse and two fighter pilots are changed forever during World
War 2.
The nurse, Evelyn
is engaged to one of the pilots, Rafe.
He is reported ‘missing in action’ while fighting with
the British in Europe. Generally this means ‘dead’. His
friend, Danny, comforts Evelyn. They
soon become lovers. Things get complicated when Rafe walks
back into their lives. As they try to sort out the problem
the three of them are suddenly thrust into
World War 2 when Pearl Harbour is attacked on December 7, 1941.
Pearl Harbour is the backdrop
for this human drama and romance. The staging and special effects
are gripping. The performances are good, but the story lacks lustre
and the film is overly long.
