Crowe plays John Nash, a genius who has problems socialising.
He is brilliant with maths but hopeless
with people. He studies at Princeton university where he develops
a revolutionary new mathematical theory. He becomes a professor and
is soon approached by the Pentagon. They need him to break secret
codes the Russians are using. It is top secret work and John can’t
tell anyone about it. He helps the Pentagon to track
smuggled nuclear arms.
One of his students is a beautiful and opinionated
young physics major named Alicia. They soon marry and John continues
his secret work. John shows signs of paranoia believing that he is
being followed and that his life is in danger. Alicia calls in a psychiatrist
who tries to help John determine what is fact and what is fiction.
